It’s “Tee” Time Again!

The 2000 Fall Golf Tournament hosted by the Gaston Chamber of Commerce Manufacturers Committee will be held on Monday, September 25, 2000 at Deer Brook Golf Club.  Details will be available in upcoming monthly mailers and you will receive the golf registration form in the next couple of weeks! 

We are currently seeking sponsors for our 2000 Fall Golf Tournament.  This is a great way to advertise your company’s service.  If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please contact Melanie Bumgardner at the Chamber (704) 864-2621.

Gaston Chamber of Commerce Manufacturer’s Committee

Mission Statement…

To improve the business environment for manufacturing and manufacturing related firms while enhancing the community’s awareness of the significant contributions manufacturers make to the quality of life in the Gaston County Region.

  The Manufacturer’s Committee provides a valuable forum through which manufacturers can monitor, articulate, and take action on issues of mutual concern.

September is Manufacturer’s Month.  In honor of this, September will consist of various activities honoring Manufacturer’s.  The Manufacturer’s Golf Tournament will be held on September 25, 2000 at Deer Brook Golf Club.

It’s the 1999 Washington Delegation trip. The delegates continue to speak of how impressed they were (and still are) by the legislators they visited. This year’s trip is also shaping up to be a memorable event. If you are a Gaston Chamber member, see the enclosed flyer in this newsletter. This forum will be held in the context of Gaston Gathers at the City Club of Gastonia. The candidates will be invited to answer questions informally and state their positions on local business issues effecting Gaston County. Sponsors needed. Call Rena Potts at 864-2621 for more information.

 

November 16, 2000- Gaston County Elected Officials Appreciation Breakfast

A community wide opportunity to thank the elected officials for their work and dedication to Gaston County. Sponsors: Duke Power and Bell South. Contact Rena Potts at 864-2621 for more information.

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold reservation. Balance will be billed and the deposit will be applied to total cost of booth.

2001 GASTON CHAMBER PLANNING RETREAT

  This year’s Chamber Retreat will be an important planning session for Gastonia and Gaston County.  Several key issues will be discussed to include the 2001 program of work and a five year plan for the Chamber.

Make plans to join us in historic Charleston at the beautiful Mills House Hotel to add your business voice to our planning sessions, enjoy the history and cuisine of Charleston, and play golf on one of Charleston’s many famous courses.
