About Us It is the mission of the Gaston Chamber of Commerce to enhance the profitability of its members and to encourage its members to return a portion of that profit back to the community for growth and prosperity. The interests of our member companies are often diverse and, at the same time, often similar in scope. A common link among all Chamber members is that of continually striving to improve the lifestyle and employment opportunities in Gaston County. A well trained, well educated workforce demands that we provide learning opportunities for citizens of all ages beginning at birth and continuing long after retirement. By promoting our existing businesses and new businesses we strive to build a stronger economy through increased efficiency and greater productivity. Manufacturing in Gaston County is diverse, but predominantly textiles. Manufacturing is given a strong emphasis at the Chamber as we focus on community issues of mutual concern. Monitoring local, state and national issues that impact the business community requires constant oversight and follow-up with our elected officials. The Chamber is more active than ever before in the legislative arena. Newcomers and visitors to our community call and drop by the Chamber daily to receive timely up-to-date information about our area. This area of service has increased dramatically over the last two years.
