BUSES Fares Regular fare — 75 cents, transfers are free. Children under five ride free with paying adult customer. Fares for the elderly and/or handicapped are 35 cents and transfers are free. Ticket books — Good for 10 rides are available for $7.50, or $3.50 for the elderly and/or handicapped. Senior Citizen Discount — 65 or older can ride for 35 cents with proof of age or a Social Security Health Insurance card. Exact change — Have exact fare, ticket or transfer ready when boarding. Drivers are not allowed to make change. Transfers must be used within 75 minutes of the time on the transfer. They are not valid for round trips. You must get the transfer when you board. Buying tickets — Tickets may be purchased at Bradley Station, 121 N. Oakland St., or the City of Gastonia, Revenue Collection Division, 181 South St.

Many provide tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, softball and baseball fields, picnic areas and playgrounds. Picnic shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at Bradley, Erwin, Lineberger, Phillips, Rankin Lake and Jeffers parks. Shelters may be reserved by groups or individuals for a small fee by contacting the individual park office. Athletic fields are used by American Legion teams and area high schools during baseball season. Facilities available for rent. Center Organized Programs Organized Programs offer instructional programs as well as dance, music and dance instructions.
